A PROGRAM FOR NEWCOMER REFUGEE YOUTH (AGES 13-18)

 

A youth led initiative to provide new Canadian refugee youth a chance to learn about their new life in Canada. Each week will include a physical activity, computer activity, art activity and guest lecturer.

 

· Week 1, Jan. 23: Conflict Resolution, William Gentle

 

· Week 2, Jan 30: School Integration, Lori Butler

 

· Week 3, Feb. 6: Anger and Stress Management, Gillian Wells

 

· Week 4, Feb. 13: Mental Health, Dr. Kathy Lawrence

 

· Week 5, Feb. 20: Physical Health, Nutrition and Substance Abuse, Dr.Chris Steingart, Adam Rauf
